Prof. Tapas Mitra has a B.Com (Hons) Degree from the prestigious Saint Xavier’s College, Calcutta and a Master’s in Commerce (Economics & Financial Management) from the University of Calcutta. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. After his studies, he began his corporate journey and has spent an extensive 36 years in internationally renowned and highly respected companies like the Tata Group, IBM, Larsen & Toubro, and many more. He also has diverse experience across multiple sectors like Automobile, Information Technology, Healthcare Services & Life Sciences, Textiles, Infrastructure, Defense, and Aerospace. For the last 15 years, he has held key leadership positions as CFO, Group CFO, Director, and member of the Board of Directors. In management classes, he explores the acquired strength in bringing practical applications of various topics in different business situations with the students. He has conducted multiple Management Development Programmes and Annual Conferences.
