She is an academician with an overall experience of 26 years, including 25 years in Academics and a brief stint in the industry. Her area of specialization is Marketing, and she teaches PGDM / MBA students- Design Thinking, Marketing Management, Marketing of Services, Retailing, Strategic Brand Management and Sustainable Business Practices. She actively participates in institution building, which includes designing syllabi, managing academics, serving as Academic Head, Program Chair, Coordinator of Conferences, and many other related tasks. She has published research papers in national and international journals and presented her research works at several conferences, which include IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, IIT Delhi, IIM Shillong, TISS Mumbai, and North American Society for Marketing Education in India (NASMEI).
She conducts MDPs / training sessions for corporate executives and government officials. To mention a few, She has conducted sessions on International Business for INS Hamla Defense Officers (Mumbai); Drive for Results/ March Towards Excellence for Mid-Level employees of NTPC and EIL (New Delhi); Self- Management for PR Professionals and Sales Executives (Delhi and Guwahati) Effective Team Building and Service Excellence for Commissioners and Joint Commissioners of Income Tax Department (New Delhi), Streamlining and Re-Orienting Processes and Protocols to Strengthen Government Communication for Directorate of Information and Public Relations Officers of Government of Assam (Guwahati), Design Thinking Workshops for Management Students and Professionals.
She has a Ph.D. in the area of Marketing. Before that, she did her MBA with dual specialization in Marketing and HRM from the Department of Business Administration, Guwahati University and B. A with Economics Hons from Cotton College, Guwahati, Assam. She has been trained in Design Thinking from KPMG India in Mumbai and also trained in Developing Sustainable Business Practices from Harvard Business School Online.
